Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please indicate your top three choices on the space provided on the hotel reservation form provided below.  Participants must complete and submit this form together with Credit Card information to guarantee the reservation and secure the rates.  Written confirmation of your reservation will be sent.

(Single/Double Rooms £115.00 per night) Aberdeen’s premier hotel, located in the city centre within easy walking distance of the main shopping area. Behind the granite façade of this historic building you will find traditional charm combined with modern amenities and impeccable service.  An ideal base for exploring all the local attractions within and outside the city. The rate quoted above is  for room only and is inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.

2) THE MARCLIFFE AT PITFODELS

(Double Rooms £165.00)  The Marcliffe at Pitfodels is a country hotel in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. It is a family hotel, proud of its atmosphere of warmth, ease and charm. Set amidst mature trees in 8 acres of wooded grounds, the hotel has an instantly recognisable feeling of the country.  The Marcliffe at Pitfodels Hotel is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World consortium.  The rate quoted above is per night and is inclusive of VAT at 17.5% and full cooked breakfast.

3)  THE UNIVERSITY OF ABERDEEN

a)  King’s Hall - Executive Accommodation

King’s Hall is situated in the heart of Old Aberdeen and comprises 22 twin rooms and 43 single rooms. The superb facilities include:

The entire Hall is non-smoking, following the University’s general policy. All rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. Parking is conveniently adjacent to the Hall.  King’s Hall guests will enjoy breakfast in the Crombie Dining Room. An extensive waitress served breakfast menu, including of course, the Traditional Scottish Breakfast is provided.

Crombie Johnston Hall is located in the heart of the King’s College campus. Most of the University’s academic departments and sports facilities are within a few minutes walk.

b)  Crombie House

Crombie House has 76 ensuite rooms with shower facilities and 56 standard rooms with separate wash hand basins.

Single Ensuite - £21.75

c)  Crombie/Johnston

Opened in 1966, this facility consists of single study bedrooms with wash-hand basins, and shared toilet facilities. Johnston House has 256 standard rooms

Reservation Deadline: 14 April 2003

Instructions: Complete ONE hotel reservation form for each ROOM requested. ALL Reservations MUST be made through our office. You WILL receive an acknowledgment of your confirmed reservation request from the Housing Bureau. You will NOT receive a separate confirmation from your hotel. DO NOT contact the hotels directly.

Booking Policy: Room reservations will not be held unless guaranteed by a valid credit card only. A first night’s deposit per room may be required to guarantee your reservation. Shuttle service is available from all official convention hotels. Rates do not include any taxes. Reservations received after 14 April 2003 deadline are conditional on room availability with no rate guarantees.
