Accreditation Statement

The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine, Office of Continuous Professional Learning is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canada Medical Schools (CACMS) and by reciprocity through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) of the United States to sponsor continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.  The University of Alberta takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of the CME activity.

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Division of Continuous Professional Learning, University of Alberta

CME Credit

The Division of Continuous Professional Learning of the University of Alberta designates this educational activity for a maximum of 61 Hours in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. 

Certificate of CME Credit

If you wish to receive a certificate of CME credit, please email banffap@ualberta.ca with the following information:

1. Your contact information (including full name, credentials, employment address)

2. The number of hours of instruction you have attended. As indicated above, the maximum number of hours is 61 Hours, but please note that this number reflects the program in its entirety, including the over-lapping sessions that occur simultaneously.
